Abstract:
A storage container for storing optical discs, the storage container having a support ring that defines a disc storage area and a plurality of holding members that securely retain a disc in the disc storage area, each holding member having a base connected to the disc storage area and a disc supporting wall having a retaining lip that limits the movement of the disc when the disc is placed in the disc storage area. The holding member being flexible so as to facilitate the insertion and removal of a disc from the disc storage area. In another embodiment of the invention, the storage container further includes a pair of release buttons placed diametrically opposed to one another to facilitate the removal of a disc from the disc container.

A storage container for optical discs has a tray configured to receive a disc and a plurality of retainers formed upon the tray. The retainers are configured so as to capture a disc upon the tray and so as to facilitate insertion of the disc onto the tray from above. In this manner, loading of the tray with the disc may easily be automated.

Abstract:
A container for storing optical discs such as CD-R discs or the like is provided. The container includes a circular base which includes a baseplate with a transverse flange around its outer periphery. A spindle which is configured for accommodating a plurality of discs is removably attached to the base. A lid which has a generally circular top and a skirt depending therefrom and which includes engagement flanges is removably mounted onto the base by means of engagement between the flanges on the lid and the baseplate flange.

Abstract:
A tape cassette is provided which has a rigid tape guide which provides for guiding the tape perpendicularly across the magnetic head of a tape machine. The cassette includes a casing body and cover with the tape guide mounted between. The tape guide is of unitary construction and includes a generally horizontally-extending, flat top section and a generally horizontally-extending, flat bottom section, spaced vertically apart from each other, and connected together by a generally vertically-extending support section. The tape guide includes a first roller support mount on one end and a second roller support mount on the other end. Each roller support mount includes both a pin for mounting a roller and a curved reinforcing member extending vertically therefrom. Both the pin and reinforcing member are formed integrally with the support mount. A pair of guide structures extends horizontally away from the vertical section where each such guide structure has a vertically-extending tape guide surface along its height.

A storage container for storing optical discs, the storage container having a rectangular frame that includes a first ledge, a second ledge, a third ledge and a fourth ledge that creates a recess with the frame for supporting a disc. Two latches securely retain the disc in the recess, each latch having a lip that limits the movement of the disc when the disc is placed in the disc storage area. The latch being flexible so as to facilitate the insertion and removal of a disc from the disc storage area.
