Trustifo Editorial reviews a removal route as an operational claim. The claim is not simply that a privacy page exists. It is that a reader can identify the correct company, reach a current first-party channel, understand the requested fields, complete stated authentication, and know what evidence to retain.
The six gates
First-party identity
The request page must be on the broker’s official domain or clearly linked by its official privacy notice. A third-party removal article can help locate a candidate route but cannot become the guide’s source.
Current reachability
The endpoint is opened during the review. Redirects, missing pages, access barriers, and unexpected ownership are recorded. A protected but clearly live official endpoint can be noted, but an unobservable flow is not filled in from memory.
Request semantics
The reviewer distinguishes profile suppression, deletion, access, correction, marketing unsubscribe, cookie opt-out, and sale or sharing opt-out. These controls are not treated as interchangeable.
Fields and authentication
The guide reports the identifiers and confirmation mechanisms described by the company. It does not recommend extra identity data. When document verification is unclear, the guide advises the reader to ask for a secure, minimally intrusive alternative.
Timing and recurrence
A processing period appears only when the first-party source states one or identifies a legal timeframe. Otherwise the field says “not stated.” Recheck advice is labeled as operational advice rather than a company promise.
Source and review date
Every guide exposes its first-party source and ISO review date. Legal propositions link to government sources. A changed procedure returns to review instead of inheriting its previous verified state.
Status meanings
Verified means the route passed all gates and a full guide may be published. Directory only means the service can be identified, but the current procedure is incomplete or insufficiently observable. Unverified means a claimed route specifically failed confirmation and is recorded for follow-up.
Trustifo does not submit test requests using fabricated identities, real people’s records, or uploaded identification. Verification covers the published process and source; it cannot guarantee the outcome of a particular request.
Legal review
State-law entries are checked against legislature, attorney general, official code, or state privacy-agency sources. Federal pages use agency or official code sources. Summaries distinguish broad rights from coverage conclusions and consistently state that the site is informational.
